Bab El-Mandeb Strait under Naval Blockade from Arab states’ coalition

Saudi Arabia and Eqypt have initiated blockades in the Bab El-Mandeb Strait ahead of Iran

Following yesterdays’ report of the Houthi rebels imminent take of over of the city of Aden, Saudi Arabia and Eqypt have since seized control of the Bab El-Mandeb Strait as a preemptive measure against Iran’s planned attempt to take over the strategic waterway.

On Thursday 26th March, Saudi Arabia blocked all major Yemeni Ports, including Aden, whilst the Arab state coalition comprising of Bahrain, Qatar and Egypt resumed airstrikes on the Yemeni Capital, Sanaa and various other positions of the Houthi rebels in Yemen. Egyptian marine naval and marine forces have since seized control of the Bab El-Mandeb Strait ahead of Iran, following the Saudi-led air strikes against the Houthi rebels. These military operations from the Arab states’ coalition mark the beginning of the Sunni Arab revolt against Iran’s intended take over of Yemen.
